Inside services include air vent blow out, washing floor mats, cleaning door jams, cleaning all glass and dash and console upholstery plus vacuuming and shampooing seats and carpets.

6. Why don’t your attendants offer chamois down services or sponge the vehicles when washed in the automatic wash?

Answer

After performing our Occupation Health and Safety in 2010, Wash Depot’s Owners and Management established that the practice or sponging down vehicles while the vehicle was in the automatic bay was an occupational health and safety hazard – particularly the risk of being injured by moving machinery and inhalation of airborne cleaning chemicals and reclaim water mist.

Since then we have redeveloped the automatic in bay cleaning process by reordering the wash process and by changing the cleaning agents. This works great outside attended hours for vehicles whose owners wash their vehicles frequently. However a lot of our customers do not wash their vehicles regularly and consequently dirt and grime can sometimes be baked into the paintwork of bird or bat dropping or bugs may be embedded on the surface.

Wash Depot has trailed many prepping processes and cleaning agents to ensure that the vehicles washed in the automatic wash are always washed clean. Our proprietary prepping formula is second to none and we guarantee our prepping will totally clean all vehicles.

And that is one of the reasons why we do not offer a chamois service at Wash Depot. You see other cars washes do sponge in bay and sometimes during this human process parts of the paintwork are missed leaving an obvious dirty spot. Chamois down services will clean this missed spot. The second reason is that all our automatic washes have a four spot free rinse passes to remove the minerals from the high pressure wash water so there is no need to chamois – simply drive down the street and give your car a free blow dry.

7. Do you prep our vehicles like other car washes?

Answer

8. Is Wash Depot Environmentally friendly?

Answer

The short answer is a resounding YES! There are many points to note when it comes to the amount of care and efforts Wash Depot has invested in ensuring the facility is environmentally friendly.

  • Firstly we only use cleaning agents are all environmentally friendly.
  • Second, we reclaim as much of our town water as possible reducing our town water usage by 70%-80% depending of the wash service being used.
  • Third, unlike some other car washes Wash Depot collects runoff water before it drains into the stormwater drains and redirects bank to the reclaim system.
  • Forth, we dispose of our excess waste water based upon Environmental Regulations by sending it to Toowoomba Regional Council trade waste service to be treated through the sewer system.
  • Fifth, Wash Depot installed a 10Kw solar power system that has drastically reduced our carbon footprint.

9. Why should I use your DIY Dog Wash?

Answer

Simply put, Wash Depot’s Doggy Delight Dog Wash is double proof safe (i.e. it is a secure area and has dog friendly approved shampoos), is great value for money, convenient plus you have a chance to spend time with your best friend.

Simply walk or drive your dog to the wash any time of the day or night any day of the year.

  • You don’t have the mess at home
  • The shampoos and conditioners and tick and flee products are all approved for use with dogs because dogs have more sensitive skin than humans. There is a holding tub with two hold down chains to keep your dog safe plus the wash area is enclosed by a pool safety fence as a second barrier for your dog but most importantly to keep your toddlers safe while you are washing the dog. Also we keep the temperature at 26 degrees the ideal temperature for dogs.
  • Also you do not have to make an appointment then take your dog to a groomer and hang around or come back later to pick up. Nor wait at home for the mobile dog wash operator to come. Plus both of these options are far more expensive

10. Do you accept credit cards?

Answer

Yes we do and we are proud to announce that since 2010 Wash Depot is the first car wash in Australia to offer credit card payment services at all car wash service points – the automatic car wash bays, the self-serve bays, the dog wash, the vacuums and the vending service.

PLUS you can also use credit cards to pay for detail services, paintwork and interior car protection and weed hygiene services.
